Frequently Asked Questions

What age do you admit from?

We currently admit from 1 years of age and can take new admissions at any time throughout the year. We are currently full for 1 year olds until September 2026.

Do you offer wraparound (before/after school) care and holiday cover?
We can offer care 8.00am-6.00pm (5:30 during Holiday Club) for most of the year and have very limited availability in a 7.30-8.00 slot which is subject to availability and only available during term time.

As our Nursery is attached to, and feeds into, our School, we follow the school terms and offer Holiday Club during the school holidays. However, we are closed for 4 weeks of the year (2 weeks at Christmas and the last 2 weeks of August) plus bank holidays and staff training days.

Is there a registration fee?

Yes – a non-refundable registration fee of £100 is paid once you have toured the nursery/preschool and decided to proceed with the application.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

An acceptance deposit of £350 is payable to secure your child’s place. This deposit will be held and refunded when your child leaves Polam.  Please note that it is expected children will progress from the Nursery through to the completion of Year 2. In the event that your child is withdrawn before completing Year 2, the School reserves the right to retain half this deposit. If applying as an international student, the deposit is equal to one term worth of fees.
