Tadpoles

3-5 years

• Children from the age of 3 years split into small classes with the teacher in the water.
• Maximum numbers 12-18 depending on the day for staff ratios
• We aim for 6 pupils per teacher.
• There is a qualified non teaching assistant on poolside.
• Children remain in the Tadpole group until they start FULL time school.
• No swim nappies may be worn, children MUST be toilet trained.
• No parents on poolside at anytime.
• No photography to comply with ISRM and ASA guidelines.
• Each session is 30 minutes.
• Swimmers work towards ASA Duckling Awards 1- 5
• Awards are tested throughout the second half of term
• Badges are available at the last lesson of term.

Progression to Young Teaching Groups or Teaching Groups depending on age but child MUST be in Full time School
