Ofsted Inspection Report

In early October 2009, Polam School had its first Ofsted inspection!

As a top Bedford pre-prep and prep school, we are in good company when maintaining high standards, therefore it was a very positive experience for us all. As has been said many times over the past few years, the aim of the merger was to bring together two successful schools thus creating a new school full of happy confident children.  The aim, to see the children achieving their full potential when guided by experienced, dedicated teachers and support staff.

Our Ofsted report clearly states:

“Under the merger of two schools, with determination and vision, the good quality of care and education for pupils has been maintained, disruption minimised and there is a continuous drive towards improvement”.

Needless to say we feel very proud of this and very excited about the future. Polam has so much to offer your child:

"The Curriculum is enhanced by a wide range of curricular and extra curricular subjects and specialist teaching, for example in art, music and French where lessons are of good quality”.

Our standards are high.

"Reading ages are often well beyond their chronological ages". "Pupils learn enthusiastically and are well motivated".
