Learning Support
At Polam School we believe that the general aims of education are the same for all children and all have an equal right to attain their full potential. It is our responsibility to provide a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum, with appropriate differentiation, to meet the needs of all our children, including those with special educational needs. Learning support takes place in our own dedicated Unit.
Learning Support Staff
The Learning Support Co-ordinator at Polam School is Mrs T. Deverell.
The specialist in specific learning difficulties is Mrs T. Deverell (DIP.Sp.LD).
Mrs J. Geliher (Head of Key Stage 1) will assist in Learning Support and will be the first point of contact re. pupils in Year 1 and Year 2.
Learning Support staff will provide additional support and advice if required. Here at Polam School, we feel parents have a vital role to play in their child's education and they should be invited to offer support and involvement too.
